Bhumi Pednekar is living her fabulous fashion era in 2025!
Bhumi was styled by Nidhi Jeswani in Nikhil Thampi’s black haathphool-embroidered gloved blouse and draped skirt. “Black is my love language. Thank you @nikhilthampi for putting it all together for me, love wearing you always (sic),” expressed Bhumi, as she shared a series of images posing in the surreal look.
The Black Haathphool-Embroidered Gloved Blouse and Drape Skirt
The look worn by Bhumi Pednekar is from Nikhil Thampi’s NAIA couture collection. The ensemble centres around a conceptual gloved blouse, a piece that merges sensuality with architectural precision. Crafted from stretch net and heavy crepe, the statement piece moulds to the body with an almost liquid elegance.
The sleeves and gloves are meticulously encrusted with uncut Kundan stones, arranged to echo the geometry of traditional haathphool jewellery. The result is a couture surface treatment that feels both ancestral and avant-garde: jewellery that becomes textile, embroidery that becomes armour. Paired with an effortlessly draped skirt, the silhouette is an hypnotic choreography of sparkle and skin.
The Designer Speaks
Fashion Nikhil Thampi, who enters his 15th year in fashion, 2025 became a landmark moment which was defined not by nostalgia but by evolution. To commemorate this milestone, Nikhil unveiled NAIA, a couture collection that signals a bold new chapter for the brand.
With NAIA, Thampi expands the codes he once established, offering a vision of Indian couture that feels unmistakably contemporary and that’s rooted in craft, elevated in form, and owned by the women who wear it.
When asked about the bond he shares with Bhumi Pednekar, Nikhil says, “Bhumi and I began our journeys around the same time, two young dreamers trying to find our footing in an industry that demanded courage.”
Nikhil further adds, “Over the years, what started as a simple acquaintance evolved into a deep, enduring friendship built on trust, shared growth, and countless conversations that shaped who we became. Today, it feels surreal to look back at how far we’ve both come.” She is family — someone whose presence has been constant through the highs, the doubts, and every milestone in between.”
Bhumi paired the ensemble with a faux fur jacket designed by Dolly J and jewellery from Shri Paramani Jewels. Bhumi’s spellbinding images were captured by photographer Ishaan Dhawan.
