Pakistani actor Hania Aamir has addressed a fake statement circulating on social media, rejecting the claims that she had made political remarks about the April 22 Pahalgam attack in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

The fabricated post, falsely attributed to her, accused Pakistan’s military and appealed to the Indian prime minister.

Aamir firmly denied the claims in an Instagram story, stating, “I did not make this statement, and I do not endorse or align with the words being linked to me.”

Calling the quote “entirely fabricated,” she said it misrepresents who she is and what she stands for.

In her message, Aamir offered condolences to those affected by the attack, urging empathy over blame: “Pain like this is real, and it deserves empathy, not politicisation.”

She cautioned against assigning collective blame or spreading unverified content, warning that such narratives only deepen divisions. “The actions of extremists do not represent an entire nation,” she said.

The quote had falsely portrayed Aamir as pleading with the Indian prime minister not to target innocent Pakistanis or the entertainment industry—claims she has disavowed.

Concluding her post, Aamir encouraged followers to verify facts before sharing and called for a response rooted in peace, truth, and solidarity.
