How many Championships do the Dodgers have? Los Angeles Dodgers’ all-time World Series title count and MLB ranking after 2025 win

    Published on

The Los Angeles Dodgers’ 5-4 Game 7 win on Saturday night against the Toronto Blue Jays landed the franchise their third World Series title since 2020. They defeated the Tampa Bay Rays in 2020 and the New York Yankees last year.

Fans want to know how many World Series the Dodgers have won so far in their history.

How many World Series do the Dodgers have?

This was the Dodgers’ ninth World Series title in franchise history. Before 2020, the Dodgers had won it in 1955, ’59, ’63, ’65, ’81 and ’88. The Dodgers originated from Brooklyn, where they frequently made the World Series, but only once in eight appearances, they manage to win the Fall Classic.

Their latest World Series was historic. They became the first team in 25 years to win back-to-back World Series titles. Given the way the Dodgers have assembled their Dodgers, many more could be in waiting over the next five years.

Where do Dodgers rank among all MLB teams in number of World Series titles?

The Dodgers are tied for third place with nine World Series titles alongside the Boston Red Sox and the Athletics.

The first place is acquired by the New York Yankees, who have won a whopping 27 World Series titles. However, they are still in search of their 28th since 2009, when they last won the World Series.

In the National League, the St. Louis Cardinals have managed to win 11 World Series titles. Their most recent title came in 2011.

With their latest triumph, the Dodgers surpassed their fierce rivals, the San Francisco Giants, who have won eight World Series titles. Their greatest run was between 2010 to 2014, where they won three World Series titles under manager Bruce Bochy and veteran pitcher Madison Bumgarner.

The San Diego Padres, Tampa Bay Rays, Milwaukee Brewers and the Colorado Rockies are the only teams who are yet to win a World Series. Meanwhile, the Seattle Mariners is the only active MLB team who is yet to appear in a World Series.
